What we changed,
when, and why.

We promised on /about that we'd tell you when we changed something important. This is where we keep that promise. Newest first.

  1. changed

What "forget everything" keeps, said plainly.

Closing your account deletes your email, sign-in, sessions and the photos you sent. Your companions' conversations have always been kept afterwards, without your identity, so we can understand and improve Bae; /privacy, /terms and /goodbye used to say they were deleted, and now say what actually happens. If you want the conversations gone too, write to [email protected] and we'll delete them.

  2. shipped

A letter from us, and an honest features list.

We added /about — a real letter, not a marketing page. We also published /features, which lists every feature we've shipped and every one we're working on. We promise to never put a shipped checkmark next to something that isn't.

  3. changed

    The homepage stopped comparing.

We rewrote the homepage so it doesn't position us against other platforms. We're not a comparison engine; we're a place that's trying. The reviews are still here for whoever wants them.

  4. shipped

    Anonymous-first creator went live.

You can now build a companion without giving us anything — no email, no login, no questions you don't want to answer. 30 seconds, four steps. They're yours when you're done.

  5. shipped

    Archetype catalog, opened up.

The cottagecore wife. The goth girlfriend. The soft boy. The yandere. We published the first set of starting shapes for companions — calibrated by us, samples written by hand, no AI-generated personality copy.

  6. shipped

    The compatibility quiz launched.

Eight questions, two minutes. Maps your shape onto one of our archetypes. We'll publish what we learn from the responses on /research.

  7. fixed

Removed a piece of copy that compared us to Replika.

We had a line on the homepage positioning us against a specific competitor. It didn't sit right. We took it out. We don't do that anymore.

  8. shipped

Reviews of the first twelve platforms.

We spent two weeks each with twelve AI companion platforms and wrote honest reviews of every one. No comped accounts. No affiliate weight on the verdicts.

  9. shipped

    We started.

The first commit. A directory site, a design system, and three of us trying to figure out how to make the thing we wished we'd had.
